Found this on yahoo:

Should casual eateries ban young children?
Is it fair for some casual eateries to ban children from their premises, citing the preservation of ambience and avoiding rowdy behaviour that disturbs other guests?

some had responded:

LOL... while singapore Govt is trying their best to improve singapore population by promoting young couple to have babies....

whats the point of having baby when i have to always find places for lunch & dinner becos i have a baby that can't go nto eateries that ban babies and child.

Every Good Parent and Every Blessed Parent must stand up for their children.
Every One knows how helpless to nurture a child.
Every One knows that the child is a gift of God.
Every Parent loves their child.
What is fair to a Child?
What is the price of Ambience?

The problem is with the parents and not the children per se. We were all children once and we should allow them the freedoms which we enjoyed.
It is sad to see so many view children so negatively.

My respond:
they can always have solutions like having a toddlers corner or something, then the others kids could be taught by their parents to not talk loudly, anyway they should sense the quiet atmosphere already.
